REGENERATIVE ORGANIC CERTIFIED®
A heritage soft wheat perfect for delicate baking applications.
BEST USES:Tortillas, cakes, quick breads, and pastries.
Introduced by Spanish missionaries to Mexico and southern Arizona, White Sonora was grown extensively by the native Akimel O’odham in Arizona. It is believed to be the first wheat introduced to the New World over 300 years ago.
Wheat Berry Use:
Wheat berries have a variety of uses in cooking and baking. Home-mill for fresh flour to use in breads and baked goods. When cooked whole, they have a nutty flavor and a chewy texture, commonly used in salads, soups, or as a side dish.
We believe in Whole Grains for Whole Lives®, which is why we love wheat berries. The whole, unprocessed wheat berries retains all the good stuff that comes from our farm!
